Colt M4 Carbine Review – AR-15 Rifle Models

Guns America likes the Colt M4 patrol rifle. About this time last year, a blogger from there gave hunters and shooters some solid information about models 6920 and 6940. Built with an M16 bolt and MILSPEC parts, both models of this Colt M4 AR-15 carbine give civilian gun owners some tactical options.

The Colt 6920 is part of the gun maker’s Law Enforcement (LE) line and has a chromed barrel with a 6-groove 1/7 twist that’s suitable for 5.56 ammunition. Guns America was lucky enough to get its hand on the special operations command (SOCOM) weapon, and liked how this combat rifle fired.

The Colt 6940 is a single machined piece, making this tactical gun ideal for high-powered optics and specialty ammunition. This Colt firearm makes for a great police sniper rifle, too, as Gun America’s review of the Colt M4 Carbine Review explains.
