Handgun Design in Gun Reviews

Most gun reviews for pistols emphasize accuracy, reliability, and handgun design. The way a sidearm looks helps it to sell, of course, but there’s more to gun design than just appearance.

A few years ago, some shooters over at the Firing Line had a great debate about what makes a good gun. Although some members of this on-line forum see handgun design as a matter of fit and finish, other shooters stress ergonomics and quality parts.

So what do you think about gun reviews, handgun design, and craftsmanship? Before you buy a handgun, do you do some research about the gun manufacturer? The gun industry assembles pistols and long guns in different ways, and many gun owners like hand fitting.
