Air Force Special Ops (AFSOC) Receives Unfair Criticism

U.S. Navy Seals work with Air Force Special Ops (AFSOC)

It’s been almost three months since Naomi Wolf labeled JSOC specialists a group of

“completely unaccountable US assassins”

– and it still makes our blood boil. From the comfort of her cubicle or whatever coffee shop she calls an office, the writer for The Guardian accuses members of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) of

“extra-legal operations – and unimaginable crimes”.

Ms. Wolf writes well, but there not much that’s unimaginable to her active imagination. Her readers deserve the facts, however, and not more anti-military fiction as in the film Dirty Wars. The pen may be mightier than the sword, Ms. Wolf, but don’t ask Osama Bin Laden about that. As you may recall, U.S. Navy Seal Team 6 has eliminated UBL, the mastermind of 9/11.

JSOC, Air Force Special Ops (AFSOC), and all of our highly professional military deserve better than they’ve gotten from The Guardian, or at least from Ms. Wolf’s writing. Sound off if you agree.
